SAMPLE LETTER TO SENATORS/CONGRESSMEN
Honorable (Senator's or Congressman's name)
Address
Washington, DC (zip)
Dear Senator (Representative) (last name):
The United Nations will be meeting early in September for what they are billing as the Millennium Assembly. It is my understanding that they will be seeking to make major changes in the UN Charter that will be detrimental to the sovereignty and well-being of the United States. Some of those changes are likely to be:
A call for a United Nations world tax. (Several different approaches have been proposed.)
A call for a United Nations standing army.
A repeal of the veto power now exercised by the United States and other permanent members of the Security Council.
Discontinuation of permanent membership on the Security Council.
A call for ratification of the International Criminal Court.
These are all designed to make the United Nations into a world government. Had there been the hint of any such proposals at the founding of the UN it would have gone the way of the League of Nations and you know it. Support for ANY of these initiatives is NOT in the best interest of the United States and I urge you to use whatever influence you have to see that the Congress does not endorse any of them, and that executive orders designed to aid their cause are struck down. I also urge you to support efforts to have the United States withdraw from the UN, such as Representative Ron Paul's H.R. 1146, The American Sovereignty Restoration Act.
I will consider further actions in support of globalization on your part as acts against the United States and its Constitution.
Respectfully,
